Andoni Iraola new favourite for Tottenham job after Postecoglou sack update
Andoni Iraola is the new favourite with BetVictor to become Tottenham manager as pressure mounts on Ange Postecoglou after a 3-2 loss against Everton.
The Lilywhites travelled to Goodison Park and were 3-0 down at half-time as the Toffees ran the show before goals in the 77th and 92nd minute made the scoreline more respectable.
Postecoglou was already under pressure coming into the game as Spurs have badly struggled this term and, after this result, Iraola has been given odds of 3/1 by BetVictor to be the next Spurs boss as odds for the Australian to be sacked were slashed during the game.
Ange Postecoglou running out of time at Tottenham
Tottenham are now without a win in six Premier League games, which is simply nowhere near enough form for what is expected in North London.
The loss against Everton leaves Spurs sitting 15th in the table and while relegation isn’t a serious threat yet, they are only eight points above the drop zone which highlights just how much they are struggling this term.
While there are injuries within the squad that have affected the line-up, Postecoglou’s lack of adaptability throughout this period may be his downfall with his persistence to stick to an attacking style of football delivering poor results for his side.

Iraola has done an excellent job at Bournemouth this term so it’s not surprising to see him as a favourite for a potential vacancy at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as Daniel Levy looks to get his team back on track.
That being said, whether he could deliver at Tottenham has to be questioned as promising managers such as Nuno Espirito Santo have struggled in this role before.
In other Tottenham news, talks have been held with another manager as contract news emerges.
