Ally McCoist shocked by ‘unbelievable’ Tamworth v Tottenham footage – ‘Wow
Ally McCoist was left shocked by Tom Tonks’ “unbelievable” throw for Tamworth in their FA Cup tie against Tottenham.
The Lilywhites finally came out on top with a 3-0 win although didn’t score until the 100th minute with the tie having to go to extra time.
Tonks stole the show though with his impressive long throw that left McCoist wowed with his first of the afternoon hitting the goal post.
Speaking live on ITV Sport Commentary (12 January, 12:50pm), McCoist said: “Wow, wow.
“What a weapon that is. That is unbelievable.”
“The one thing it does, it asks serious questions of the opposition defensively.”

Tonks’ long throw was a known threat going into this game and throughout his 85 minutes of game time before being substituted off, it certainly proved to be a threat, catching their opponents off guard.
While Spurs did eventually come out on top, the National League side certainly showed a good account of themselves on the afternoon and the top-flight side struggled at times.
Although the Lilywhites finally won the game, criticism of Ange Postecoglou has only grown after the performance of his team in the cup tie.
The North London side did not dominate proceedings as would have been expected and, at times, the Lambs looked on top and more likely to score.
Nevertheless, Spurs remain in another cup competition which will surely be a big focus for the Australian boss this term as his side struggles in the Premier League.
