Tottenham must be wary of Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon ahead of the clash in North London on Saturday.
The Magpies travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 4 January in an excellent run of form which has seen them win their last five in all competitions.
Eddie Howe will be confident of maintaining this winning streak against Spurs, who have gone three games without a win.
This has seen Ange Postecoglou come under massive pressure and he risks facing the sack if his side do not pick up a positive result against the North East club.
If the Australian wants to secure all three points, he must plan to combat Isak and Gordon given how much joy they have had against the Lilywhites in recent years.

The Sweden international is arguably the most in-form player in the Premier League, alongside Mohamed Salah, so will cause plenty of problems for the Spurs defence.
The 25-year-old has done so on multiple occasions, netting five in his four appearances against the North London outfit [Transfermarkt].
His last strike came earlier in the season as Howe’s men picked up a 2-1 win at St James’ Park but arguably the striker’s best performance came in 2023.
The former Real Sociedad forward netted two in a 6-1 win before following that up with another two goals in a 4-0 win last season.
It is safe to say that Isak causes plenty of problems for Tottenham.

Similarly, the England international has also been a problem for the Lilywhites but one they have been able to combat somewhat.
The ex-Everton star did score one and assist two in the 4-0 Newcastle win at St James’ Park, as he added to his Swedish teammate’s efforts.
Other than this, the winger has failed to get on the scoresheet in six clashes against Spurs but there is no doubt he will be keen to add to this in the upcoming clash in North London.
With a makeshift defence available to Postecoglou, life may be made easier for Gordon who will be tough to keep quiet.
