Agbonlahor rages at ‘toothless’ Tottenham after what he saw v Arsenal

Gabby Agbonlahor has slammed Tottenham for their “toothless” performance in their Premier League defeat to Arsenal on Wednesday.

Spurs left the Emirates with nothing to show for his efforts as Ange Postecoglou’s men fell to a 2-1 defeat against the Gunners.

Postecoglou’s men now find themselves 13th in the Premier League and are now 14 points adrift of the top-four spots.

Speaking live on talkSPORT (16 January, 06:05am), Agbonlahor shared his thoughts on Spurs’ performance.

“It was a toothless performance, it was so average, as a fan you start to turn on the manager and team because you give us absolute garbage all season and all we ask is for you to turn up for a North London Derby,” he said.

“They couldn’t do that Al, [Djed] Spence. [Archie] Gray and [Lucas] Bergvall, three young lads are the only ones that turned up.

“[Dejan] Kulusevski was poor, Son, really looking like he’s losing a yard of pace every time he plays Al.”

Ange Postecoglou could pay for the poor form of Tottenham with his job

Since the start of the season, the position of the Australian as the Spurs boss has been questioned by fans and pundits alike.

Granted, they’ve had a plethora of defensive injury issues already this season with their defence the area that seems to have been the most affected.

In fact, due to the amount of injuries they’ve sustained, Gray has to be shoe-horned into the team in order to try and fill the void left by Micky van de Ven and Christian Romero.

Even though Postecolgou led his men to a 1-0 victory over Liverpool in the semi-final of the Carabao Cup on 6 February, that one positive result isn’t enough to allow the former Celtic boss to keep his job.

Unless he can find a way to turn things around at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium soon, it could be curtains for the manager, which, in reality, isn’t an ideal situation for any of the involved parties.
