Adebayor stunned after Arsenal v Tottenham controversy footage – ‘Unbelievable’
Emmanuel Adebayor was left stunned by Arsenal’s controversial equaliser in their Premier League clash with Tottenham on Wednesday.
Spurs took the lead at the Emirates on 15 January through Son Heung-min, although the Gunners turned things around by halftime, with Gabriel and Leandro Trossard scoring for the hosts, the latter leaving one Spurs man humiliated during the first half, and that is how the match would finish.
However, Arsenal’s equaliser arrived controversially as Gabriel scored from a corner which perhaps should have been a goal kick after it appeared to hit an Arsenal man last.
And reacting to the goal, former Spurs and Arsenal striker Adebayor said [via Super Sport, 15 January, 8:54 pm], “I think you have to give credit to those taking the set pieces.
“When the Arsenal players go for the first ball you can see that they’re definitely going to get to the first ball and you can tell that it is something that they have worked on.
“It means Gabriel is going to get to the second ball, and it is just unbelievable. It is something that they have been doing all season.”

Adebayor was full of praise for Gabriel and Arsenal. However, a lot of Spurs supporters would argue that the goal shouldn’t have ever happened.
And it would appear as though they’re right. Therefore, Postecoglou will no doubt be feeling aggrieved, especially considering just how crucial that goal turned out to be in the context of the match.
However, while the 59-year-old can point toward this referring mistake, with Spurs sitting 13th in the Premier League, Postecoglou is beginning to run out of excuses.

Therefore, he is going to need to start producing results soon, especially with the likes of Eddie Howe lurking in the background.
