Henry Winter makes Postecoglou ‘dare’ claim as Tottenham reach Europa League final
Henry Winter has made an admission about Ange Postecoglou after he led Tottenham to the UEFA Europa League final.
Tottenham earned a 2-0 victory over Bodo/Glimt in Norway on Thursday (8 May) to win the Europa League semi-final tie 5-1 on aggregate.
Spurs are thus just one step away from winning a European trophy, with Postecoglou’s side set to lock horns with Manchester United in the final in Bilbao on 21 May.
The North London giants have had a disastrous season in the Premier League as they sit 16th in the table with three games left, but Postecoglou could still keep his promise of delivering a trophy in his second season with them.

Winter makes Postecoglou admission
Winter was quick to take to social media to tip his hat to Postecoglou after Tottenham booked their place in the Europa League final on Thursday.
The journalist pointed out how the Greek-Australian manager is just one step away from keeping his promise against all odds.
“Fair play to Ange Postecoglou”, Winter wrote on his personal X handle (8 May).
“A win away from fulfilling his promise/boast/statement of ‘I always win things in my second season’.
“To dare is to do, and he’s taken Spurs to a European final.“

It now remains to be seen if Postecoglou can go all the way in the Europa League and deliver Tottenham their first trophy since 2008.
Spurs will be positive about their chances of winning the final against Manchester United, who have had a nightmare of a season, just like them.
The Red Devils are placed just one place above the North London giants in the Premier League, having lost 16 of their 35 games this season.
It is also worth noting that Tottenham have beaten United all three times they have faced them this term.
Tottenham could still sack Postecoglou
Winning the Europa League may not be enough for Postecoglou to save his job as the Tottenham boss.
It is worth noting that Spurs have lost 19 of their 35 Premier League matches this season, and that is a terrible record for any manager, even if they lead the team to Europa League glory.
That is why Daniel Levy and Co. are seriously thinking about sacking Postecoglou at the end of the season, regardless of what happens in the European competition.
