Tottenham fans have long been divided over Ange Postecoglou despite his relatively short stay in North London.

Postecoglou lifted the UEFA Europa League at Tottenham, which made him the first to win a trophy with the club in 17 years.

But his time at the North London club was cut short after the Lilywhites finished 17th in the Premier League. The 22 defeats suffered were the most by any team without being relegated.

There has always been the notion of what could have been if he had stayed, but like all epic stories, this one had to come to an end.

Sean Dyche could replace Ange Postecoglou

However, the Australian is yet to win a game with the Garibaldis. As a result, an early departure has already been tabled.

According to The Telegraph on 11 October, Sean Dyche is emerging as a frontrunner should owner Evangelos Marinakis sack Postecoglou.

Forest could face a relegation battle this season as they are currently 17th in the league. It is hoped that Dyche's significant experience of keeping teams in the Premier League could help.

While Tottenham's decision to dismiss Postecoglou was criticised at the time, the club will surely be vindicated if he does part ways with Forest.

The biggest difference between Thomas Frank and Ange Postecoglou

The Lilywhites appointed Frank in the hope of improving their league form, and the Dane has more than delivered thus far.

Indeed, a tantalising finish from Mohammed Kudus against Leeds United cemented Spurs' third-place position in the Premier League. However, goals are not the biggest difference between the two managers.

In his first seven games as Forest manager, Postecoglou's side have conceded 15 goals in all competitions. Frank? Just five.

  • Spurs have kept three clean sheets in seven Premier League games
  • Postecoglou has kept no clean sheets
  • Tottenham have conceded 0.7 goals per game while Forest have conceded 1.7 in the league

This is a striking difference which touches on a key criticism of Postecoglou while at Tottenham.

While his team was fun to watch, his high-risk, high-reward football increased pressure on the defence. Thus, Frank's football may be a bore, but right now, Spurs fans will pick it every time.
