Dominic Solanke found the back of the net as Tottenham secured a victory against Bodo/Glimt in the UEFA Europa League.

Going into the second leg on Thursday night with a 3-1 lead, Spurs knew that they had to avoid defeat to go through to the final.

After a shaky first period, they picked up the ante in the second half and won 2-0 on the night and 5-1 on aggregate.

Efan Ekoku hails "Excellent" Solanke

For the opening goal of the contest, the English striker's movement off the ball was impressive.

He then found himself in the right position to slot the ball home to put some daylight between the two teams.

By scoring, he also justified Ange Postecoglou's faith in him, as the Australian could've easily gone with Mathys Tel.

Solanke has nailed his spot in the starting eleven for Tottenham v Manchester United

With Manchester United also winning their respective semi-final, they will face Tottenham in the final of the Europa League.

It is bound to be a pulsating affair, one in which Postecoglou will be looking forward to and so will Solanke.

His stats against Bodo/Glimt were impressive and they've nailed his spot in the starting eleven for the final.

He scored with his only attempt on goal - a 100 per cent conversion rate, per Sofascore.

The 27-year-old also won the majority of his aerial duels (6) and completed two dribbles all game.

He also won a couple of fouls for Spurs and contributed defensively too, making a tackle.

There was an injury worry earlier, but he played the full 90 minutes, so it should not be a concern anymore.
