The news outlet reports (20 January) that the Lilywhites are considering a surprise move for the 27-year-old to bolster their backline before 3 February.

It has been suggested that a quick deal could be possible as the centre-back has struggled to establish himself at Stamford Bridge since moving from Fulham last summer.

Spurs are in the market to reinforce their defence after suffering multiple injuries this season.
