Tottenham are considering a move to sign goalkeeper Karl Hein from Arsenal, according to Football Insider.

Pete O'Rourke reported to the Inside Track podcast on 1 November that Spurs' interest has come as a shock as they look to tempt the 22-year-old to move across North London.

The Estonia international is currently on loan with Real Valladolid but with less than a year left on his contract with the Gunners, he will be free to explore his options from January.

Ange Postecoglou's side will have to wait until 2025 before they can make a move to sign the shot-stopper as they search for a backup to Guglielmo Vicario.

The Italy international has come under fire himself for his performances this season which have been questionable at times.

The 28-year-old has been suspect from set pieces which has led to plenty of frustration among supporters.

His backup this campaign has been Fraser Forster who performed admirably in his two starts against Coventry City and AZ Alkmaar.

With that being said, the ex-England international is now 36 years old and is coming towards the end of his career and will need replacing.

Hein could prove to be a positive number two option for Postecoglou, albeit a controversial one given his current ties to the Gunners.

It will be interesting to see whether the Estonian would be willing to move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium from Spurs' most bitter rivals.
