Tottenham Hotspur beat already relegated Wolves 1-0 in a tense affair on Saturday.

Roberto De Zerbi's side started well, but the afternoon descended into shambles at Molineux with Dominic Solanke and Xavi Simons going off injured.

With Spurs unable to find the breakthrough to take the lead, it looked like they would find themselves further in the relegation mire on 25 April as West Ham were beating Everton.

That was until Joao Palhinha popped up with a goal in the 82nd minute and Everton equalised, but Callum Wilson notched a winner for the Hammers, keeping things as they are.

Tottenham need to keep winning if they are to have any chance of retaining their Premier League status.

Palhinha the hero as Tottenham take three points

Palhinha has been mooted with a permanent switch to Tottenham, and he surely enhanced those chances with his cameo against Rob Edwards' side.

He only had 13 touches of the ball, per Fotmob, but he popped up with the vital goal after replacing Yves Bissouma.

He completed 86 per cent of his passes, and made four passes into the final third as he asserted his influence on proceedings.

Defensively, he made one tackle, and won one of the two ground duels that he attempted and both aerial duels, for 50 and 100 per cent success rates.

He may have worked himself into De Zerbi's plans in the foreseeable future with his antics.

Kolo Muani woeful in Tottenham win

Randal Kolo Muani has struggled to have any kind of impact in his time with Spurs, and that continued in the clash with the Old Gold.

The French striker had 34 touches, but failed to create a chance for a teammate and could only record one shot, which was not on target.

He completed just 71 per cent of his passes, but did not connect with any of his two cross attempts in the contest.

The forward had just two touches in the opposition box, and was also dispossessed twice by the hosts in a dismal showing.

He tried seven ground duels, but only won three for a 43 per cent success rate, although he did win all three he went for in the air.

It was no surprise when he was hooked at half-time, as he was not good enough.
