Tottenham continue to tick down the days until their Europa League semi-final tie with Bodo/Glimt.

The first leg of that contest takes place in a week's time, with the success of this campaign depending entirely on that competition.

Should Tottenham advance over two legs and end their long wait for silverware, Postecoglou can stake a serious claim to stay on.

However, many believe he will be on his way out of Tottenham regardless, with a number of names being touted as possible options.

There has also been plenty of transfer rumours circulating, both in terms of incoming and outgoing activity.

Tottenham News rounds up all of the main headlines from Thursday (24 April).

Romero has been central to the club’s defence for a number of years, but after an underwhelming injury-hit campaign, it’s hard to see his long-term future being at Spurs.

Atletico Madrid have been linked to Romero for around £45million, with some reports stating he could leave within weeks.

It has been reported that Spurs are gathering information on the Germany international ahead of a potential approach being made.

While there is no certainty that the 24-year-old will sign for Spurs this summer, the fact that the club are eyeing up defensive reinforcements suggests that they are preparing for Romero’s exit.

Fulham boss Silva has been touted as a contender to replace Postecoglou North London if he departs and has an £8million release clause in his Fulham contract.

The Portuguese manager has now emerged as the frontrunner, with Bet365 slashing the odds on his chances of replacing the ex-Celtic man.

Silva is 3/1 to become the next permanent Spurs manager, ahead of the likes of Mauricio Pochettino at 9/2, Thomas Frank at 11/2 and Andoni Iraola at 6/1.

A report from Give Me Sport claims that Spurs are monitoring Harry Gray - the brother of Archie Gray - and have sent scouts to watch the Whites ace in action.

It states that while a move is not a priority, they are considering eventually offering the 16-year-old a chance to link up with his sibling and that their previous relationship with the Elland Road outfit will give them the edge.

The young star made his first appearance for Daniel Farke’s side on Monday (21 April) and his older brother liked a post celebrating the occasion.

Hours after Silva was installed as the bookies' favourite, Mauricio Pochettino has since been named as the favourite to become Spurs boss as odds have shortened to 11/4 according to Odds Checker.

More outside shots include the likes of Erik ten Hag, Brendan Rodgers and Scott Parker also being linked with a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

There is no doubt that the Argentine would be a well-received option to replace former Celtic boss Postecoglou ahead of the next campaign.
