Tottenham insider shares behind-the-scenes talk he has heard about Jamie Donley at Leyton Orient

John Wenham claims the coaching staff at Leyton Orient are incredibly "impressed" with on-loan Tottenham ace Jamie Donley.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose believes the 19-year-old's temporary switch to the EFL League One side was a positive move for his development.

Donley joined Leyton Orient on a season-long loan from Tottenham and has started all three of the club's league fixtures since arriving at the Gaughan Group Stadium.

And Wenham - speaking exclusively to Tottenham News - has detailed what has been said about the youngster behind the scenes.

“Donley is doing well at Leyton Orient,” Wenham said.

“There have been some comments from supporters because the team aren’t doing well overall.

“However, from everything I hear, the club’s coaching staff have been really impressed with him thus far. He’s getting plenty of minutes every week. Therefore, I think this was a really good move for him.”

Jamie Donley to make an impact under Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham?

Donley is an incredibly talented young player who shone for Spurs' Under-21s last season.

As a result of that bright form, he earned himself a move to Leyton Orient where he is getting his first proper taste of senior men's football.

Ange Postecoglou will no doubt be keeping a close eye on Donley's progress in League One.

Therefore, if the forward continues to feature regularly and get some good experience under his belt, there could be a place in the first-team squad for him at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next year.
