Tottenham plan to have Micky van de Ven back in full training from next week, according to Paul O Keefe.

The Spurs insider reported on 22 January that Ange Postecoglou has finally been dealt some "positive news" with the potential return of the Netherlands international.

The Lilywhites have hope and have planned to welcome the 23-year-old back to full training as of next week.

Tottenham to welcome Micky van de Ven to back to training

After facing yet another injury concern with Pape Sarr dropping out of training on Wednesday (22 January) it is a welcome relief to welcome the defender back.

There is no doubt that the ex-Wolfsberg man is one of the most important players in the Spurs squad and has been sorely missed.

Given the issues that Postecoglou has had, being forced to start Archie Gray and Radu Dragusin as a makeshift pairing, having van de Ven available will be a huge boost to the North London outfit.

The Australian needs to learn from the mistake earlier in the season and not rush the Dutchman back into the starting XI too quickly, avoiding the risk of yet another reoccurring injury.
