Xavi looks as though he could be the man to replace Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham.

Postecoglou's future appears to lie away from Tottenham.

The 59-year-old has guided Spurs to the UEFA Europa League semi-final, and after their 3-1 win over Bodø/Glimt at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the first leg on Thursday (1 May), the Lilywhites have a great chance of reaching the final.

However, Spurs' form in the Premier League has been abysmal, with Postecoglou's side sitting 16th in the division ahead of their trip to the London Stadium to take on West Ham on Sunday (4 May).

Therefore, regardless of what happens in the Europa League, Postecoglou is expected to leave Spurs, and it looks as though his replacement might already be lined up.

Xavi in line to replace Postecoglou at Tottenham

As speculation around Postecoglou's future has continued to swirl, a host of managers have been linked with the Tottenham job, including former Barcelona manager and player Xavi.

The odds of the 45-year-old replacing Postecoglou in North London were recently slashed, with BetVictor now offering odds of 2/1 for Xavi to become the next Tottenham manager.

A report from Football London on 28 April named Xavi as one of the five managers Tottenham could consider, although it also noted that Daniel Levy was unlikely to take a gamble on the Spaniard.

However, that could be set to change after recent talks.

Fabio Paratici is in advanced talks to return to Tottenham

There looks set to be major changes behind the scenes as well as in the dugout at Tottenham this summer, with Fabio Paratici in advanced talks to return to North London [talkSPORT].

Paratici would have a big say in Postecoglou's future and any potential replacement, and it has previously been suggested that the Italian could line up a meeting between Tottenham and Xavi.

Therefore, should Paratici return to Spurs, which now looks likely, Levy could be convinced to replace Postecoglou with Xavi.
