Tottenham could green-light Yves Bissouma's exit from the club this summer with a replacement waiting in the wings.

It looks set to be a summer of change at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

After one of the North London club's most disappointing seasons in Premier League history, Ange Postecoglou is expected to be sacked.

However, it isn't just the Australian who could part ways with Spurs. Several players are also likely to be moved on this summer, including Bissouma, who has failed to live up to expectations since he joined Tottenham from Brighton.

The 28-year-old will have a year left on his contract this summer and could be sold, with a move to Crystal Palace on the cards.

As a result, a midfield spot would become available in the Tottenham squad, and it looks as though one player in the academy might be ready to take that spot.

Reiss Russell-Denny scores 'superb' goal for Tottenham Under-21s

Bissouma has had another disappointing season in Lilywhite, and has felt Postecoglou's wrath at times as a result.

He is no longer one of the first names on the teamsheet in North London, and it feels as though this summer could be the perfect time for the Mali international to move on from Tottenham.

Luckily, it looks as though Spurs might already have a replacement right under their noses.

Bissouma has yet to provide an assist for Tottenham

Since joining Tottenham from Chelsea, defensive-midfielder Russell-Denny has played seven Premier League 2 matches, providing three assists and netting his first goal in the 5-4 Premier League 2 defeat against Everton's Under-21s at Lamex Stadium on Monday (14 April).

The 18-year-old scored a "superb" free-kick against the Toffees [Tottenham Hotspur Official] and has demonstrated that he is ready for a first-team opportunity.

Russell-Denny deserves pre-season opportunity at Tottenham

This summer needs to be a fresh start for Tottenham.

As a result, some of the younger players at the club could be given an opportunity to make an impact, starting in pre-season, and Russell-Denny should be one of the players who is given a closer look.
