Tottenham have been linked with a move to secure the services of Pisa defender Francesco Coppola in the summer transfer window.

Dr Rajpal Brar, an injury expert, has assessed the 20-year-old's fitness record as he will need to pass a medical if he is to switch clubs this summer.

Coppola should have no issues clearing his medical

Given his fitness record this season, the centre-back should not have any issues clearing his medical, according to Dr Brar.

As he was playing at the Serie C level, the transition to the Premier League could take some time, so Tottenham may have to monitor his minutes initially.

Discussing the state of play with Coppola exclusively with Tottenham News, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, shared his verdict.

"He has an ideal fitness record this season and there should be no issues with his medical," he said.

"The only games he missed was due to suspensions or call-ups, so it’s not something Spurs will worry about.

"Moving from another league and to professional football will take some time, so they would gradually integrate him into the first-team picture and ramp up his minutes."

Tottenham must continue their youth recruitment

Spurs must persist with recruiting high-potential youngsters to build a sustainable, dynamic squad for long-term success, as exemplified by talents like Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall.

This strategy ensures a pipeline of versatile, high-energy players who can develop into stars, maintaining financial prudence while boosting squad depth.

Pairing this approach with a manager known for their progressive tactics and knack for integrating youth is crucial.

Ange Postecoglou’s high-pressing, attacking system thrives on the energy and adaptability of young players, as seen with Destiny Udogie’s seamless transition, so hiring a replacement who possesses those qualities in a manager would be ideal.

The new manager must possess the ability to nurture talent while balancing senior experience, fostering cohesion, ensuring Spurs remain competitive in the Premier League and cultivating future assets for sustained success at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
