John Wenham believes Tottenham gem Lucá Williams-Barnett is the "standout star" of the Under-18 Premier League.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose can't believe the number of goals and assists the 16-year-old has provided this season.

Williams-Barnett has already scored six goals and provided two assists in just six Under-18 Premier League matches this season.

And Wenham - speaking exclusively to Tottenham News - has hailed the young forward's form.

“Williams-Barnett is really good,” Wenham said.

“He is just scoring a ridiculous number of goals, and he has a lot of assists this season too. You have to think as well, he is still a schoolboy player.

“He’s not even an official Under-18s player, he’s technically still an Under-16s player yet he is the standout star in the division. Considering he also isn’t a striker, and he is putting up those numbers, that is crazy.”

Lucá Williams-Barnett to shine under Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham?

Williams-Barnett is still incredibly young. Therefore, it seems far-fetched that he would already be on Postecoglou's radar.

As a result, there's every chance that Postecoglou might already be well aware of Williams-Barnett's talents.

Should the youngster keep performing at a similar level, he could soon earn an opportunity to play with the Under-21s, where he would really be able to demonstrate what he is made of.
