Tottenham salvaged a point against West Ham at the London Stadium, with their Premier League finish now predicted by the Opta supercomputer.

Ange Postecoglou's side remain 16th in the Premier League after drawing 1-1 with the Hammers on Sunday (4 May).

Postecoglou remains under serious pressure with Tottenham lining up potential replacements.

After a disappointing Premier League campaign, it is down to the UEFA Europa League to save Postecoglou's position, and even success in that tournament might not be enough to save his job.

Spurs' Premier League position predicted by supercomputer

The Europa League may be the only place where Spurs supporters can find a little joy, according to the latest supercomputer predictions.

The Opta Analyst supercomputer predicts Tottenham to remain where they currently sit in 16th, with an expected points total of 41.89.

Premier League (expected finish)Expected points
14. Manchester United43.08
15. Everton43.02
16. Tottenham 41.89
17. West Ham40.79
Spurs are predicted to finish 16th in the Premier League

The Lilywhites have a zero per cent chance of qualifying for European football next season via their league placing, meaning they are reliant on winning Europe's secondary competition.

Spurs are determined to make the Europa League final

Now, with the Premier League almost over, Spurs will look to the Europa League in a final effort to secure silverware this season.

While Tottenham were criticised for taking their eye off the ball during a 3-1 victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium against Bodo/Glimt in the semi-finals on Thursday (1 May), the result puts them in a favourable position for the return.

Postecoglou's side will look to return to North London with a ticket to the final despite the absence of midfield maestro Maddison.

However, with a two-goal advantage and Dominic Solanke's imminent return, Spurs have everything to play for during the closing stages of the season.
