Tottenham look set for a summer of change with one important decision expected imminently.

Ange Postecoglou ended Tottenham's 17-year trophy drought with a 1-0 victory against Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League final at the Estadio de San Mamés (21 May).

Despite this, he oversaw the North London club's worst-ever Premier League campaign as the Lilywhites finished 17th and suffered the most defeats (22) by a side which wasn't relegated.

While Spurs supporters are content to dine on their Europa League success, Daniel Levy has travelled back down to earth, ahead of a summer of change at Tottenham, with one decision expected in days.

Ryan Mason to decide on Tottenham future

After spending time with Tottenham as a player and coach, Mason finally won silverware with his boyhood club this season. However, the 33-year-old has not yet decided whether he wants to continue his journey at Spurs.

Mason is out of contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer and could step into his first permanent managerial position.

Mason's final league finish with Tottenham will be one to forget

That is according to Sky Sports' Rob Dorsett, who reported on Thursday (29 May) that Tottenham and West Bromwich Albion, who have Mason at the top of their shortlist for their vacant head coach position, expect the former midfielder to decide on his future by the start of next week.

Tottenham must decide Postecoglou's future

While Mason could yet leave, Tottenham need to make a decision on Postecoglou. This is so the Lilywhites can be best placed when they enter the summer transfer window.

Postecoglou gave Spurs a massive springboard for the future by winning the Europa League and earning a UEFA Champions League spot, and has the belief of several players behind him to once again take them to the promised land.

The Australian has proven that he can win with Spurs, which should be enough to buy even the most incompetent of managers another six months.
