Along with the North London outfit, Newcastle, Nottingham Forest and West Ham are also keeping tabs on the 28-year-old as he will be a free agent this summer.

Manchester United have also entered the race for the England international as they're keen on a new striker.

Rasmus Hojlund has been underperforming and Ruben Amorim wants an upgrade on the Denmark international.

Tottenham should avoid signing Calvert-Lewin on a free transfer as he does not represent an upgrade over their current attacking options and his poor fitness record makes him an unreliable backup.

Spurs already have Richarlison, Son Heung-min, Dominic Solanke, Brennan Johnson, Dejan Kulusevski and Mathys Tel potentially who consistently deliver goals and assists.

Calvert-Lewin, with only 71 goals in 272 Everton appearances, lacks the clinical edge needed to displace them.

His injury history is a major concern as he has rarely played a full season, making him a risky option even as a squad player.

Tottenham’s schedule next season demands consistent availability, which Calvert-Lewin cannot guarantee.

Signing him would also inflate the wage bill without addressing key needs, potentially hindering Spurs’ ambitions for top-four consistency.
