Tottenham will need to assess the fitness of Son Heung-min upon his return to Hotspur Way in order to ensure he is in a position to take part against Fulham, according to Football London.

The news publication provided the update online (18 October) after Son looked to be in some discomfort during South Korea's 6-0 friendly win against Vietnam on Tuesday (17 October).

Son played the full 90 minutes, grabbing a goal and an assist but could be seen limping down the tunnel at half-time and looked uncomfortable during the closing stages of the contest.

Everyone connected with the club now faces an anxious wait to see if their top scorer so far this season will be available for the visit of Fulham in the Premier League on Monday (23 October).

Ex-Spurs scout Bryan King told Tottenham News:

"It would be a big loss. You have got a front player of nearly Harry Kane class here and someone who is certainly a danger.

"If Son wasn't to play then Richarlison would be required to lead the line. It is the sort of game where he could perhaps score a goal, and he would certainly need to do Son's job.

"Look, you don't play for Brazil if you don't have quality, but I just worry about his attitude at times. His ability isn't bad but his attitude isn't good, whereas Son's attitude has always been positive.

"Son has played second fiddle to Kane ever since he has been there and now he has the chance to become the main man, so hopefully he will be available."
