Borussia Dortmund want £83million for Tottenham target Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, according to BILD.

The German news outlet reported online (21 October) that Chelsea and Tottenham regularly send scouts to watch the English forward in action for Dortmund.

Liverpool are also interested in making a "strong offer" for Gittens.

Tottenham to compete with Chelsea and Liverpool to sign Jamie Bynoe-Gittens?

It looks as though the competition to sign Gittens will be fierce, with several Premier League clubs reportedly interested in his signature.

Therefore, it might be tough for Ange Postecoglou's side to convince Gittens that North London is the right place for him.

Liverpool and Chelsea are both attractive clubs to join, and have both started the current Premier League season in bright form. In addition, both clubs are more likely to spend the £83million that Dortmund are reportedly asking for.

Spurs have never spent more than £65million on a player. As a result, it is hard to see them shattering their transfer record to sign a relatively unproven 20-year-old.

Gittens has started the season well, scoring two goals and providing two assists in seven Bundesliga matches, while also netting twice in the UEFA Champions League.

However, it is hard to argue that he is already worth £83million. Therefore, Postecoglou might have to focus on some other young players at the club.
