Tim Sherwood was blown away by Rodrigo Bentancur's goal for Tottenham against Wolves in the Premier League.

Postecoglou was handed a huge boost ahead of a must-win game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday 29 December.

Therefore, the Australian would have been disappointed to see his side concede after just seven minutes as Hwang Hee-chan opened the scoring for Wolves.

However, it took the home side just four minutes to draw level, with Rodrigo Bentancur heading in an equaliser from a Pedro Porro corner in the 11th minute, which left Sherwood impressed.

Speaking on Sky Sports News (29 December), the ex-Spurs boss said, "It's a great header.

"What a header that is, Bentancur at the near post. He jumps and smashes it straight past [José] Sá, gives him absolutely no chance. They needed that Tottenham, 1-1."

It was a dramatic finish to the first half at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Moments after Son Heung-min missed a penalty for the home side, Spurs did go in front, with Dejan Kulusevski setting Brennan Johnson up, who smashed home his 11th goal of the season with ease.

However, Spurs wouldn't be in front if it wasn't for Bentancur, and this was a reminder of just how important the midfielder is for Postecoglou.

Therefore, after his recent suspension, which the club spent thousands fighting, Postecoglou will be glad to have the 27-year-old back.

And it looks as though he might have returned at just the right time with the Australian in need of an upturn in form to save his job in North London.

A win against Wolves would be a step in the right direction. However, there is a lot of work to do in the second half to ensure the three points.
