Thomas Frank sack latest revealed as Tottenham schedule new press conference

Thomas Frank was evidently jubilant after Tottenham eased to victory over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Spurs beat Dortmund 2-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with goals from Cristian Romero and Dominic Solanke enough for a crucial win.

Frank was under severe pressure of the sack before kick-off, with Tottenham crashing to an embarrassing defeat versus West Ham only days previously.

Now, the latest has appeared from Hotspur Way.

Thomas Frank press conference scheduled

Tottenham only confirmed late that Frank would speak to the media before Dortmund, but that isn't the case this time around.

Spurs travel to Burnley next in the Premier League on Saturday, with three points desperately needed.

Now, it has already been shared that Frank will speak in the next press conference, which is scheduled for Thursday.

Matt Law shared the news on social media after the win over Dortmund, showing the immediate backing for the manager from Tottenham itself.

Why are Tottenham so much better in the Champions League than in the Premier League?

Spurs have been dreadful in the Premier League; there's no hiding that.

After the shocking year under Ange Postecoglou, many believed it couldn't get any worse than finishing 17th, but it nearly has under Frank.

Tottenham are currently 14th, only two points ahead of Leeds United, more than halfway through the season already.

Compare that to the Champions League, and it's a completely different story.

After their win over Dortmund, Tottenham are now fourth ahead of the Wednesday fixtures, with only Arsenal, Bayern and Real Madrid ahead of them.

That is crazy when you compare the two.

With Burnley struggling again, it is the perfect opportunity for Frank to kickstart a small winning run again and really start to prove himself in North London.

Eintracht Frankfurt and then the two Manchester clubs follow the trip to Turf Moor, though, so without something special, Frank could already be counting down the days to his dismissal.

Fingers crossed for him that he can prove everyone wrong.
