Richarlison's ill-fated time at Tottenham looks set to come to an end after a recent transfer update.

Richarlison has struggled since joining Tottenham from Everton three years ago, scoring just 16 goals in 70 Premier League appearances.

The 28-year-old has suffered a never-ending string of injuries since arriving in North London, and has been heavily linked with an exit this summer.

Tottenham would settle for just £20million for Richarlison, only a third of what they paid to acquire him from Everton, and look set to accelerate the sale following a recent transfer update.

Tottenham to enter discussions for Arnaud Kalimuendo

Frank is pursuing players like Bryan Mbeumo as he is keen to add more direct goal threats at Tottenham.

The Dane will likely focus on bringing in strikers, with questions being raised over Dominic Solanke's lack of goals last season.

As such, journalist Loic Tanzi reported via X (16 June) that Spurs are entering discussions for Rennes striker Arnaud Kalimuendo.

Newcastle and Bayer Leverkusen have already held preliminary discussions, but Tottenham have decided to accelerate their pursuit of the 23-year-old on the back of his season-high return last year.

The Paris Saint-Germain academy product, who won a silver medal as part of France's Olympic team last summer, is known for his excellent pace and dribbling abilities, which see him run in behind defences, while he also has a natural poaching instinct.

His profile would offer a very different option to Solanke and would only hasten Frank's decision to offload Richarlison, possibly within a matter of days.

Frank likes having different options

Unlike his predecessor, Ange Postecoglou, Frank is very adaptable and fluid in his approach to every game, employing different formations and styles of play to each opponent.

Therefore, the 51-year-old prefers having a wider variety of players with differing skillsets to enable the manager to vary his tactics.

The difference in profiles of Kalimuendo and Solanke would give Frank just that, and he is likely to push Tottenham to sign more specialist players who possess different qualities to the ones currently at his disposal, especially in forward areas.
