Revealed: Ivan Perisic agrees Tottenham move as Daniel Levy 'allows him to leave'
Daniel Levy has shown "goodwill" toward Ivan Perisic in his decision to "allow him to leave" Tottenham and join Hadjuk Split, sources have told Tottenham News.
Levy and Hajduk Split's president Lukša Jakobušić verbally agreed on the transfer of Perisic while negotiating a deal for Spurs' newest recruit, Luka Vuskovic.
The versatile Croatian, 34, is set to complete the move back to his homeland in January.
It comes following the confirmation that Perisic had injured his ACL and will therefore miss the majority of the 2023-24 campaign.
One well-placed source has provided Tottenham News with some further details, saying he believes "this is a goodwill move on the club's behalf" and that "it is very good of Tottenham and the chairman to allow him to leave."
The 34-year-old's exit will bring to an end his stay of just over one year in north London after the experienced Croatia international joined the club in the summer of 2022 on a two-year deal.
He had the most assists (12) across all competitions throughout the Tottenham squad during his debut season with the club, while also scoring once in the Premier League.
However, it was clear prior to his injury that the player was not a major part of Ange Postecoglou's plans this season, as he started just once during the club's opening five games.
Perisic's exit will see him make a return to Croatian club football for the first time since 2006 and re-join Hajduk Split, the club he left as an Under-17 player.
