Ange Postecoglou will be frustrated with Tottenham ace Dejan Kulusevski after his "ridiculous" booking during the 2-2 draw against Roma on Thursday.

Tottenham are left ninth in the UEFA Europa League table after their draw with Claudio Ranieri's side.

Son Heung-min opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the fifth minute at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium [28 November].

Evan Ndicka equalised for the visitors 14 minutes later, and it looked as though the Serie A outfit had taken the lead through Stephan El Shaarawy moments later. However, the goal was ruled out for offside.

Postecoglou's side responded well, with Brennan Johnson giving the hosts the lead once again in the 33rd minute. However, Mats Hummels responded in the dying moments of the clash to frustrate fans in North London.

It was Kulusevski who set Johnson up, the 24-year-old once again making an impact with his second assist in as many games, as he continues to start in midfield ahead of James Maddison.

However, it wasn't a perfect evening for the Sweden international, who was booked in the 28th minute after a petulant coming together with Leandro Paredes, the Spurs ace shoving the Roma midfielder to the ground.

And Glen Hoddle was less than impressed with Kulusevski, branding the incident "ridiculous" while commentating on TNT Sports' live coverage of the match [8:29 pm, 28 November].

Ange Postecoglou to have words with Tottenham star Dejan Kulusevski?

Kulusevski was impressive once again for Spurs against Roma.

As per Sofascore, the ex-Juventus ace completed 75 per cent of his passes, with two of those key, while he also went close to scoring himself, striking the woodwork.

There were some things to improve upon, with the midfielder only managing one accurate cross from four attempts, while he also won just three of his 10 ground duels and was dribbled past twice, in addition to giving possession away 21 times.

However, his assist demonstrated just how important he is to Postecoglou's side.

Therefore, the last thing the Spurs boss needs is the Swede picking up needless bookings which could lead to suspensions, especially with so many players already unavailable.

As a result, the Australian would be wise to have words with Kulusevski to ensure he manages his temperament better during matches in future.
