Ange Postecoglou was spotted telling Pape Sarr to prepare to come on for Tottenham at half time against West Ham in a game-changing substitution.

Spurs secured a superb 4-1 win against their London rivals on Saturday 19 October despite going 1-0 down through Mohammed Kudus.

Going in at half-time level, thanks to a Dejan Kulusevski strike, Postecoglou made a decision on the whistle to bring on the Senegal international.

The Aussie manager pointed him out and made his wish clear as the midfielder came on to swing the game in the home side's favour.

The 22-year-old came on for James Maddison at half time as the midfield struggled at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with Yves Bissouma often isolated.

This wasn't the case in the second half as Sarr provided additional steel in the centre of the pitch that was missing up against Tomas Soucek and Guido Rodriguez.

Sarr came on and had a telling impact going forward as well as at the back as he grabbed an assist as Son Heung-min scored Spurs' fourth.

This was just one of his 19 passes as he maintained 100 per cent pass accuracy and took 29 touches throughout [FotMob].

Three of his passes were into the final third while also maintaining a 100 per cent long-ball success rate showing just how positive his game was against the Hammers.

The Senegal international was also superb at the back, registering two tackles, with a 100 per cent win ratio, one clearance, one block and two recoveries.

It will be frustrating to Sarr that he lost three duels across his cameo but will be pleased to have at least won four to halt the progress of the away side.
