Tottenham need a new attacker in the winter transfer window if Ange Postecoglou is going to keep his job and one stunning transfer might just help him do that.

The Australian is under severe pressure in North London after the 2-1 loss to Leicester extended their dismal run to just one win in 11 Premier League matches.

The Lilywhites are leading the race for Brentford forward Yoane Wissa, according to a report from Footmercato journalist Santi Aouna on 29 January.

If the former Celtic man wants to save his job, he should be pushing for a move for the DR Congo international.

Tottenham should go all out for Wissa

The Bees forward has been in fine form this campaign scoring 11 goals and notching two assists in 20 Premier League matches.

He has nearly surpassed his tally of 12 goals and three assists from last season with 15 matches left to play.

Ange Postecoglou's side are desperate for attacking reinforcements as Dominic Solanke is ruled out for the foreseeable future and Richarlison has been hampered by injury issues.

An attacker with top-flight experience that is a handful for defences and knows where the net is should be a no-brainer for the Lilywhites, especially given the injuries that they currently have.

While he is 28 years old, he could add some much-needed experience to a youthful Spurs squad that has struggled this season and find themselves 15th in the Premier League.

Postecoglou needs a lifeline to try and save his job at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Wissa may be a perfect option.
