Olivia Holdt has made history with her late stoppage time winner as Tottenham Women overcame Aston Villa 2-1.

It looked all but certain that Spurs would suffer a surprise defeat to Villa when Kirsty Hanson opened the scoring with six minutes to go to put the visitors ahead.

However, Martin’s Ho side did not give up. Bethany England netted the equaliser just a minute later before Holdt scored the eventual winner in the 95^th minute.

The result ensures that Ho has continued his wonderful start at Tottenham since taking over in the summer, with Spurs fifth in the table, one point off the Champions League places.

Much of this is thanks to Holdt, who has continued to be a clutch player for the North London side this season.

Olivia Holdt the first non-British player to score two injury-time winners in the WSL

Holdt has had a great start to her Tottenham career since joining in January.

The attacking midfielder has now netted three times in the WSL1 in nine appearances this season as she continues to impress.

Her goal against Villa was expertly taken as she managed to beat the keeper from a tight angle with her first-time shot.

Now, according to Opta Joe on 7 December, the Denmark international has now become the first non-British player to score two injury-time winners in the WSL.

Her previous injury-time winner came in the 3-2 victory over Crystal Palace in January 2025.

What did Holdt say after the win over Aston Villa Women?

Holdt was obviously ecstatic that she managed to score the winner on Sunday.

A victory was needed after Spurs had dropped points in their last two fixtures, and the attacking midfielder ensured that Tottenham would return to winning ways.

Looking back on the match, she told BBC Sport on 7 December: "I'm feeling amazing, it was such a good team performance today and we struggled a little bit but in the end we got the three points and that shows it all."

On her goal, she added: "It was just amazing, those goals that you dream about. I'm so happy that I scored because I would have Beth England on my shoulder if I didn't score. A really nice feeling."
