Thomas Frank has had all eyes on him since he was appointed manager at Tottenham over the summer.

Tottenham were brutally called out for sacking Ange Postecoglou, who went on to become head coach at Nottingham Forest.

However, his replacement, Frank, has had a strong start to life in North London, with Spurs' recent game against Wolves finishing level at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Several years in the game have earned Frank a stellar reputation even beyond Spurs. However, it seems he could stray from his usual ways in the coming months.

Harry Kane predicted to return to Tottenham

It has been suggested that Kane could return to Spurs as soon as next summer, with supporters desperate to see him arrive.

Frank expressed his desire to see the striker return to Hotspur Way when asked during a press conference earlier this month, stating that Kane was "more than welcome" if he wanted to rejoin the Lilywhites.

However, Tottenham expert and Lilywhite Rose owner Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes his response was out of character.

“I think if he comes back to the Premier League, it'll definitely be to Tottenham,” Wenham said.

“I don't see him going to another Premier League club. What is really interesting is that it’s just kind of so well spoken about or accepted that this is kind of happening. Frank is normally a very sensible, serious manager who does everything by the book, and you would expect him to say not to comment about another team's player.

“But it was really unusual for him. 'If he wants to come there, then he's absolutely welcome here', or something along those lines. It was kind of really out of character, and it's just kind of an acceptance, it seems, from all sides that he will be coming back to Tottenham, and I mean, my goodness, would I have him back.”

Would Harry Kane’s return benefit Tottenham?

Tottenham currently have three strikers Frank can choose from, with Richarlison the first option at the moment.

However, Kane netted eight more than Randal Kolo Muani, Richarlison and Dominic Solanke combined during the 2024/25 season. Not to mention that the Brazilian is currently tied with Joao Palhinha, a defensive midfielder, for the most goals scored this season.

It is clear that Tottenham have an offensive issue which Kane would improve if he returned in the coming months.
