Mohammed Kudus has been the name on every Tottenham fans lips at the moment.

Since signing from West Ham in the summer, the winger has been excellent for Thomas Frank.

Just before the international break, Kudus was inspirational for Tottenham as he picked up a goal and an assist in their 2-1 victory against Leeds United.

While Kudus has had his faults at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, it has no doubt been an impressive start, and now, this has continued for Ghana.

Mohammed Kudus closes Ghana in on World Cup qualification

Kudus is aiming to reach the World Cup in the summer, with Ghana closing in on qualification.

On Wednesday, they faced the Central African Republic and overcame the nation in a sensational 5-0 victory.

The win puts Kudus’ side on the verge of qualification for the summer tournament, with Ghana sitting top of the group on 22 points, three clear of Madagascar.

  • Kudus has had a great start at Tottenham
  • The winger has quickly established himself as star player under Frank
  • Before the international break, Kudus picked up a goal and a assist in a 2-1 victory over Leeds

During the match, the Tottenham star played a key part and picked up an assist during the tie.

As a result, Kudus was heavily praised for his performance, and multiple outlets reacted to his display.

3 News on 8 October gave the winger an 8/10, stating: “Starboy extraordinare! Took the corner that set up Salisu to get the Black Stars on their way to a thumping win.

“Kudus was well in the mix, creating chances and making himself a nuisance for C.A.R.”

In comparison, Pulse on 8 October was more critical, awarding Kudus a 6/10.

It read: “A mixed evening for the Tottenham playmaker. He was lively, sharp in possession, and delivered the assist for Salisu’s opener, but couldn’t find his scoring touch.

“Still, his vision and link-up play were vital to Ghana’s attack.”

When is Kudus next in action for Ghana?

Like many of Tottenham’s players on international duty, Kudus will be playing again before the break is over.

The winger is in action again for Ghana on Sunday when they take on Comoros.

All Kudus’ side needs is a draw to ensure that they will be in the World Cup in the summer.

Given that the Comoros are currently fourth in the group, Ghana will be expected to pick up the draw that will qualify them for the tournament in North America.
