Mikey Moore sent an emotional message to Callum Olusesi after the Tottenham gem earned his debut against Hoffenheim on Thursday.

The 17-year-old midfielder replaced James Maddison in the final few minutes of the 3-2 Europa League victory on 23 January, making his first appearance in a first-team jersey.

Having played alongside him at youth level, Moore was clearly emotional to see him given an opportunity at such an important moment, who also grabbed an assist against the Bundesliga side.

Reacting to the club's X post [23 January], Moore wrote: "Congrats brother. It's something we’ve dreamed of and spoken about for years playing together for this club. Proud of you, mate."

Tottenham future looking bright after Callum Olusesi debut

More and more academy graduates continue to filter into Postecoglou's senior squad, showing reason for Spurs supporters to be really excited for the future.

While some youngsters, such as Alfie Dorrington, Alfie Devine, Josh Keeley, Ashley Phillips and Jamie Donley have all been sent on loan, others are forcing their way into the first team.

Moore and Will Lankshear are exciting forwards, often displacing Timo Werner from the starting XI, and Postecoglou now has another new youngster at his disposal.

The manager clearly trusts Olusesi, throwing on for the final few minutes of the Europa League tie in Germany, with Spurs holding onto a one-goal lead and five minutes being added on.

Impressing at Under-21s level, Olusesi has more than deserved a call-up to the senior team and all that hard work has ultimately paid off on one of the biggest stages in European football.

Supporters will be hoping to see a lot more of the teenage midfielder, and if his short cameo against Hoffenheim is anything to go by, there is no reason why he cannot be utilised in the Premier League.
