Thomas Frank's Tottenham future is hanging by a thread as possible successors are sounded out.

Days after a convincing 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, Tottenham salvaged a last-gasp 2-2 draw with relegation-threatened Burnley at the weekend.

As a result, Frank is once again fighting to save his Tottenham job, as question marks continue to mount over his suitability for the role.

So, who is now the most likely candidate to replace Frank at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium?

Who is the favourite to be Tottenham's next manager?

According to one major bookmaker, there are six standout names for the Tottenham job if Frank is given the boot.

Former Tottenham striker Keane is still the bookies' favourite at 3/1, but ex-Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez is in a dead heat with the Irishman.

Current United States men's national team manager Pochettino is behind them at 7/2, with the Argentine previously saying he would be keen to manage Spurs again.

Ruben Amorim6/1

Recently departed Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso is at 4/1, but whether the Spaniard would want to return to the dugout so quickly after his Los Blancos exit, which happened in early January, remains to be seen.

Finally, outgoing Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner and ex-Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim are at 6/1.

Both Fulham's Marco Silva and former Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca are down at 12/1. Whether any of them could do better with this Spurs group is up for debate.

Will Pochettino return to Tottenham?

Pochettino is still held in high regard at Tottenham after turning them into Premier League title challengers and leading them to the Champions League final in 2019.

Pochettino is reportedly open to a Tottenham return after this summer's 2026 World Cup, something he hinted at last March.

He said, "I still feel in my heart that, yes, I would like one day to come back [to Tottenham]. We see the timing."

But just a few months later, ex-Paris Saint-Germain manager Pochettino poured cold water on a second stint at Tottenham.

Last June, the former Chelsea boss added, "If something happened, for sure you will see, but we cannot talk about this type of thing, because I think today, it's not real. It's not realistic."

Pochettino's odds to take over at Tottenham have been slashed ever so slightly from 4/1 to 7/2 but whether that becomes a reality is uncertain.
