Mathys Tel spotted on way to London as Romano shares Tottenham buy-clause update

Mathys Tel has now been spotted on a private jet ahead of his transfer to Tottenham.

Fabrizio Romano shared the picture via his personal X account (3 February) that shows the Frenchman and his agent on their way to London.

The deal is set to be a straight loan without an option to buy with the move expected to go through before the 11pm deadline on Monday.

Tel's future has been brought into question since the winter transfer window opened with Spurs one of the leading teams gunning for his services.

Terms for the deal were already agreed a few days ago but the Bayern Munich attacker chose against moving to North London in favour of waiting out for another team to come in for him.

However, after potential moves to multiple clubs including to Manchester United ended up failing, the youngster has chosen to spend the rest of the 2024/25 season on loan with Ange Postecoglou's team.

Things have been rough for everyone involved at Tottenham this season with fans consistently turning on both Postecoglou and Daniel Levy at every chance they've had.

However, with Tel now seemingly set to join Spurs, this could be the exact sort of move they needed to turn things around and work their way back up the table.
