Daniel Levy has already angered some sectors of Tottenham supporters by sacking Ange Postecoglou.

With that in mind, it would be wise for the Spurs chairman to make some positive steps to rebuild that damaged relationship.

Another bond that has been broken is with the players, who are also livid with Levy's decision on Postecoglou.

Now, the 63-year-old is toying with the emotions of captain Son Heung-min, who looks set to lose one of his closest allies.

Son's Tottenham teammate set for transfer out of North London

With Postecoglou already out of the Tottenham door, the Lilywhites could be a completely different club next season.

Cristian Romero is among the high-profile names who could depart Spurs, having been strongly linked with a move to Atletico Madrid.

Levy, though, will be the man who Spurs supporters want out the most, with protests held against his reign.

Even Son himself has been linked with a move away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as he enters the final year of his contract.

Several big names are out of contract at Tottenham next summer

It appears that one of his best friends within the Premier League club will depart this summer, with his presence diminishing in North London.

That man is Ben Davies, who is the subject of interest from Championship side Wrexham, according to the Daily Mail (8 June).

This is despite the news that Spurs extended the 32-year-old's contract to June 2026 just last weekend.

They go on to state that Davies is a popular member of the dressing room and is particularly close to Son, but an exit could be sanctioned if a replacement - namely Everton's Jarrad Branthwaite - is signed.

Selling Davies this summer, having just handed him a new deal, would be considered a dramatic twist.

Selling Davies could have repercussions for Spurs

While getting rid of ageing talent is part of football, there are significant factors that must be considered when doing so.

Son can be considered a Tottenham legend, given the consistency of his performances and the trophy to his name.

As for Davies, he has been a Spurs player for more than a decade and has been an admirable servant to the North London club.

Getting rid of one, or indeed both of them, risks tearing the soul out of the Lilywhites' dressing room.

A player's influence goes far further than what is seen on the pitch, and both are instrumental figures behind the scenes.

Considering how torturous Tottenham's last season was, Levy would be wise to tread with caution when considering selling their long-serving assets.
