John Wenham doesn't think Tottenham will sign Chelsea outcast Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose believes the rivalry between the two clubs makes a transfer difficult to complete.

However, Wenham - speaking exclusively to Tottenham News - doesn't think Dewsbury-Hall will end up in North London.

“The club really wanted Conor Gallagher," Wenham said.

"However, as has been the case historically, Spurs and Chelsea weren’t able to do a deal. Therefore, I don’t see Tottenham going to their rivals Chelsea and saving somebody who has been a disappointing signing from their point of view.

“I just can’t see Spurs saying we will take Dewsbury-Hall off your hands, pay you a fee, pay his wages. I just can’t see that happening at all.”

Tottenham to miss out on signing Chelsea midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall?

Spurs and Chelsea very rarely do transfer business together. Therefore, it is hard to see the two clubs agreeing on a deal for Dewsbury-Hall.

In addition, a brand-new midfielder isn't exactly what Ange Postecoglou necessarily needs right now.

The Australian is already stacked in terms of squad options in that area of the pitch. As a result, he has struggled to offer all his midfielders consistent minutes as of late, which has left one big-name player unhappy.

Therefore, it doesn't seem wise to spend money bringing in another midfielder midway through the season.
