Daniel Levy's recent mishap at Tottenham will need a little more than an apology to remedy.

Thomas Frank has gotten off to a pretty impressive start, considering his rollercoaster of a summer.

The Dane added to his excellent Premier League start with Tottenham's 2-0 win against Manchester City at the Etihad. This comes after Spurs’ defeat to PSG in the Super Cup final, in which Frank has clearly learned his lesson.

But it has not been all smooth sailing, and Levy may have just made it 10 times harder for Frank to achieve results in North London.

Thomas Frank will be ‘frustrated’ with Daniel Levy over Eberechi Eze snub

Tottenham were on track to sign Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace this summer, but saw their plans come to an abrupt end.

Hours before the deal was set to be finalised, Eze agreed a deal to sign for rivals Arsenal in what was another blow for Spurs.

This comes after Tottenham missed out on Morgan Gibbs-White, who extended at Nottingham Forest despite agreeing personal terms at Hotspur Way.

This will no doubt be a huge blow for Levy, who has faced criticism at Tottenham before. Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes he could also face the wrath of Frank.

“How does that leave Frank feeling?” Wenham said.

“Twice he's given a preferred target, firstly, Gibbs-White, then Eze, and both times we very publicly failed to get deals over the line. So I think there'll be a massive feeling of frustration at Hotspur Way.”

Tottenham already have the perfect James Maddison answer

Despite disappointing in the 10 position during Spurs' defeat to Bayern Munich during pre-season, his performance against Man City has shown the way forward.

Sarr was everywhere. Whether initiating the press against Pep Guardiola's side in the build-up or providing an outlet higher up on the pitch, Sarr stretched the field of play. His efforts earned him the Man of the Match award, but they also demonstrated that Tottenham do not need a 10 to win against tough opposition.

With Kudus out wide and efficient passers in the defence and midfield, Spurs may be set for the rest of the season.
