Harry Redknapp has backed Spurs to beat West Ham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday (19 October).

Ange Postecoglou's side need a response after losing 3-2 to Brighton at the Amex Stadium ahead of the October international break (6 October).

While speaking to BetVictor, Redknapp predicted a tight home win in the upcoming London derby, while naming Dominic Solanke as one to watch.

"This is a hard one to predict. For 45 minutes against Brighton, I thought Tottenham were terrific," Redknapp said.

"The next 45 minutes, not so much. I don’t know what to expect from them here, but they need a big response. West Ham are showing signs of life under Julen Lopetegui, there’s a lot of very good players in this side. They need to start showing a bit more on the road though, starting here.

"There won’t be much in this one, but I’m leaning for a home win, 2-1. (Dominic) Solanke is really beginning to find his feet at Spurs, but he could do with some goals."

Dominic Solanke to make an impact for Tottenham against West Ham?

This is a must-win game for Postecoglou and his players. After winning six straight matches, they were beaten dramatically by Brighton, throwing away a two goal lead.

Therefore, they need to prove that this was just a blip and that they've learned from their mistakes on the South Coast. If they were to lose to their fierce London rivals at home, things could begin to get quite ugly for Tottenham.

As for Solanke, he will be looking to build on his recent form. Although he blanked against Brighton, the striker has been much better in recent weeks after a slow start to life at Spurs.

And he will be hoping that he can be the difference-maker against the Hammers on Saturday.
