Dermot Gallagher has offered referee John Brooks "full credit" for his decision to send Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma off against Luton Town on Saturday (7 October).

Speaking to Sky Sports News during Ref Watch (9 October), former Premier League official Gallagher applauded Brooks' decision, admitting he had missed the dive that earned the Mali midfielder a second yellow himself.

"Full credit to John Brooks and I'll tell you why - I was watching the game and from that angle I thought it was a foul and when he produced that [a second yellow card], I thought 'I hope he's got that right'.

Tottenham

"Well, what a spot that is and full credit."

Alan Hutton spoke to Tottenham News about the red card:

"What's he doing? I mean, I thought he's played really well this season.

"He's that type of guy where he's in about it, he's going to have fouls against and he's going to give them away so you understand him picking up yellow cards but driving forward when he's in a position where he can possibly have a shot, to just kind of fall down, you just don't expect that from him.

Tottenham

"I think when you are diving or trying to buy a foul like that it's poor so you deserve a second yellow, so it was the right decision for me."
