Thomas Frank could kickstart his spell at Tottenham by moving on Son Heung-min.

The Dane is preparing for his debut season in charge of the Lilywhites, with a clash against Burnley first up in the Premier League.

Before that, the transfer window has to be navigated well, with business already kicking off with the addition of Mathys Tel on a permanent deal.

This could also see several stars leave N17, with Son potentially on the chopping block under Frank in his first summer at the helm.

Frank to hold Son exit talks at Tottenham

It is fair to say last season was far from the South Korea international's best as injuries and a lack of form took their toll on his performances.

This saw him play a bit part role towards the end of the season, starting on the bench in the Europa League final against Manchester United.

With that being said, and the permanent addition of Tel, it could prove to be the right time for the 32-year-old to move on this summer, with a contract worth nearly £500,000-a-week possibly waiting.

This may have taken a step closer to going through in N17 with Frank at the helm as the new head coach may be keen for a fresh start.

Former Brentford boss Martin Allen believes that a sale could represent the best option for everyone as a new era begins for Spurs.

Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Allen said: "I think the first player Frank will be talking to is the captain, Son.

"He's been a fantastic player for them, he's got a great attitude and is loved by all Tottenham fans.

"I think he's lost his speed, he's lost that bit of tenacity and pace, so a fresh start, to bring in a new player and move him in, could be done by Frank.

"Sometimes you've got to do that as a manager, make your mark.

"He'll always be a legend at Tottenham, but it's time for new pastures, a fresh start, to bring in fresh blood in what would be a good move by Frank."

Son destined for Tottenham exit

It would ultimately come as little surprise to many if the winger were to move on from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.

The former Bayer Leverkusen man has certainly had an excellent career in North London, but a move away could benefit all parties.

This would hand other talent like Mikey Moore better opportunities at Tottenham, which could help them move forward in the long term.

It is unclear as to where Son could go, amid links to Saudi Arabia, and that will only make for an increasingly interesting window.
