Savinho could be on his way to Tottenham Hotspur in a shock move this summer.

Spurs and Manchester City have begun talks for the Brazilian winger, who is said to be open to a move to North London if the clubs can agree on a fee.

Savinho only arrived at City a year ago from Troyes for £30.8million, but has failed to establish himself in the Premier League as Pep Guardiola's side surrendered their title to Liverpool.

Spurs have been in the market for an attacking player since James Maddison ruptured his ACL against Newcastle United, with a move for Harvey Elliott now unlikely after he agreed terms with RB Leipzig.

The 21-year-old would become Tottenham's seventh signing of the summer, and likely be the most expensive, but how will he fit into Thomas Frank's system?

How will Savinho fit in at Spurs?

Savinho's best position is on the right wing, which means his signing would likely see new addition Mohammed Kudus move to the attacking midfield role.

The Brazilian's biggest strength is his dribbling, as shown by the fact that he completed more dribbles than anyone else in La Liga with 104 in his last season on loan at Girona.

His creativity and vision are also notable, with the winger registering 10 Premier League assists last season, while he is also able to read and exploit spaces with ease, with intelligent runs.

Savinho also brings versatility, as he can play anywhere across the frontline, which will help Frank fit his new attacking signings in seamlessly.

The Brazilian can bring a professional attitude and maturity to a young Spurs dressing room, which is needed now that Son Heung-min has departed for LAFC.

Savinho needs to improve his output at Tottenham

The glaring problem with Savinho is his goal-scoring ability, with the ex-Girona star regularly criticised last season for his lack of output.

The Brazilian only bagged three goals in all competitions last season, with only one of those coming in the Premier League, away at Leicester City in December.

Savinho needs to improve his finishing if he is to succeed at Tottenham

Frank will need to work with Savinho to help him improve his output, but if he can get him playing like Bryan Mbuemo last season, the winger will be a massive success in North London.
