ENIC have not established a positive relationship with Tottenham supporters over the years.

The investment group, owned by Joe Lewis' family trust, hold the majority share of Tottenham, having purchased the club along with Daniel Levy in 2001.

Although Tottenham have prospered financially over the years, ENIC have often been criticised for reaping the rewards of Spurs' growth while not adequately investing in the first team.

With the North Londoners set for a new era under Thomas Frank, fans are desperate for the Dane to be adequately backed with new signings during this transfer window.

ENIC could inject fresh investment into Tottenham

Frank has identified the need for a goal-scoring forward as a priority this summer and has already explored deals for the likes of Antoine Semenyo and Bryan Mbeumo.

As reported by Matt Law via The Telegraph (30 June), Tottenham are now focused on Mohammed Kudus and are hoping to make him the first player to join from West Ham since Scott Parker in 2011.

The Ghanaian forward did not follow up on his excellent debut season with West Ham in the last campaign, but he remains a very talented player with exceptional dribbling abilities and a keen eye for goal.

The 24-year-old perfectly fits Frank's mould, and Spurs are hopeful they can negotiate a lower fee than the £85million release clause that West Ham have set, which is only active for the first 10 days of July.

It would still be a costly transfer for Tottenham and could break the club record fee they paid for Dominic Solanke, and it is understood that the Lilywhites need to sell players to fund new signings.

However, Law also states that there is a possibility that ENIC could provide fresh investment to help fund Spurs' expenditures this summer.

This could kick off a much-needed spending spree in North London, which could help to boost the investment group's popularity among the Spurs faithful.

ENIC need to win back Tottenham fans' trust

If there were ever a time to right wrongs, this summer is that time for ENIC.

Despite some fans being disappointed that Ange Postecoglou was replaced, most supporters have come around to Frank's appointment and are optimistic about what the Dane will bring to N17.

The Lilywhites are still boisterous about their UEFA Europa League triumph last season, and are excited to return to the Champions League.

ENIC can capitalise on all this positivity, and if they showed their commitment to Spurs in this transfer window to bolster that sentiment, it would go a long way in restoring their reputation.
