Eleanor Heeps made a huge impression on her Tottenham Women debut against Aston Villa Women on Saturday.

Goalkeeper Heeps made her first appearance for Spurs as the North London side made it two wins from two in the Women's League Cup group stage with a 1-0 victory over Villa at Brisbane Road [23 November].

And the performance of Heeps, who is still just 21 years old, would have left Vilahman with a lot of thinking to do.

Heeps put in an impressive display between the sticks to help Spurs record just their second clean sheet of the 2024/25 campaign thus far.

The shot-stopper hardly put a foot wrong, making five saves, with two of those coming from inside the penalty area [Sofascore].

In addition, 100 per cent of Heeps' passes were accurate, as were all five of the long balls which she played.

Not only did the youngster impress with her work between the sticks, but she even managed to chip in defensively, making two interceptions and one clearance, while also winning the one ground duel which she contested.

As a result of Heeps' display, the first-choice goalkeepers in North London will no doubt be looking over their shoulders.

Should Spurs continue to leak goals as they have been doing, Vilahamn might be tempted to make a change.

And based on her debut, few could argue against Heeps being given the chance to show what she can do in the Barclays Women's Super League.
