Daniel Levy and Amanda Staveley to form ‘perfect’ Tottenham partnership as investment nears

John Wenham has speculated that Daniel Levy and Amanda Staveley could form the "perfect" partnership at Tottenham.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose believes both Levy and Staveley's approaches could complement each other well.

Wenham has previously suggested that Staveley looks set to invest in Tottenham imminently. She was spotted at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium during the NFL match between the Chicago Bears and the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday (13 October).

This comes amid ongoing talk that Staveley is in "advanced talks" to invest in Spurs (via the Mirror, 28 September), which could open the door for a full Tottenham takeover.

However, Wenham - speaking exclusively to Tottenham News - has suggested that Levy and Staveley could work quite well together.

“I’m not sure how visible Staveley would be,” Wenham said.

“You look at Sir Jim Ratcliffe at Manchester United, he hasn’t got complete ownership, but he is very visible. Staveley being visible could suit Levy.

“He likes to work in the shadows and do things behind the scenes, rather than being seen as the face and taking criticism. Therefore, that could be perfect for both parties.

“Staveley could be visible and be seen as the face, which means if things aren’t going well, she would naturally take the blame. Meanwhile, Levy can work in the background.”

Despite what some might feel about him, Levy isn't a man known for the spotlight. Yes, the Spurs chairman isn't short of flaws. However, it is very rare that he makes things about himself publically, or even does as much as conducts a sit-down interview.

Meanwhile, throughout her time at Newcastle United, Staveley was very prominent in the media and has remained somewhat in the public eye since departing the club.

Therefore, if she were to work closely alongside Levy, the pair's different approaches to their work could prove to be mutually beneficial. As a result, it will be interesting to see how things unfold.
