Cristian Romero is rumoured to be leaving Tottenham at the end of this season, according to Inter Live.

The news outlet reports [10 November] that the North Londoners have been handed "stomach aches" as they risk being without the Argentina international next season.

Yann Bisseck is seen as someone who would fit Spurs' needs, and they are willing to pay Inter Milan around £25million for the 23-year-old centre-back.

Cristian Romero is a rock for Tottenham

Romero has been a rock at the back for Tottenham since his move from Atalanta, and the World Cup winner has become a key player at the club.

Under Ange Postecoglou, the 26-year-old has formed a formidable partnership with Micky van de Ven, although both of them have been injury-prone during their time in N17.

Romero has captained the side on occasion this season, and his leadership qualities are on show every time he puts on the white shirt.

The Argentine brings some much-needed aggressiveness to Tottenham's play, but that also often leaves the team a bit open at the back.

In the 2-1 loss against Ipswich Town on 10 November in the Premier League, Spurs showcased their inconsistency once again after putting in some impressive performances in recent weeks.

Radu Dragusin has found minutes to be a luxury at the North Londoners in the current campaign, and the Romanian didn't do himself any favours with his display against the Tractor Boys.

Tottenham can't afford to let go of Romero, and if anything, Bisseck shouldn't be seen as a replacement for the 26-year-old but an option to add more depth to the backline next summer.
