Tottenham are set to embark on yet another new era, this time under Thomas Frank.

Frank's arrival in North London could be announced soon after the Dane reached an agreement with Tottenham.

The 51-year-old has established Brentford as a mid-table Premier League side since guiding the Bees to promotion from the Championship in 2021.

And it looks as though Frank isn't the only man set to make the switch across London this summer.

Brentford will allow Justin Cochrane to join Frank at Tottenham

Justin Cochrane is a current assistant coach under Frank at Brentford, and also the 4/7 favourite with BetVictor to replace Frank at the GTech Community Stadium.

However, discussions have also been held about Cochrane joining Frank at Tottenham [Lyall Thomas], which would see him return to the North London club after spending time working in the Lilywhites' academy previously.

And it looks as though an agreement could now be reached.

As reported by Alan Nixon via his Patreon (10 June), Frank wants Cochrane to join him at Tottenham, and Brentford will permit the move.

The assistant coach started his coaching career with Tottenham before moving through the age groups with the FA. Spurs supporters will be delighted with Cochrane's return, as he was seen as a promising young coach while in North London.

Tottenham fans need to give Frank a chance

Ange Postecoglou won Spurs their first piece of silverware in 17 years after lifting the UEFA Europa League. However, he also delivered Tottenham's worst-ever Premier League campaign, as the Lilywhites finished 17th with 38 points.

In comparison, Frank finished 10th with Brentford with fewer resources. This undoubtedly convinced Levy that the Dane was the best choice for the position.

The high of the Europa League win was enough to convince Tottenham fans of a third season with Postecoglou. But it is time supporters fell back down to earth.

Spurs suffered 22 defeats in the Premier League this season, which set a record for the most losses without relegation. It is almost inconceivable - a 'Big Six' club inches away from relegation while winning the Europa League.

Postecoglou has proven himself as a serial-winner, but also a man of two halves. Levy could not grapple another 17th-place finish or worse next season.

Therefore, Frank may not be Spurs supporters' first pick. But given the extremes of the past year, Tottenham could do with some consistency.
