Bryan King doesn't believe Ange Postecoglou's position at Tottenham should be questioned despite a poor run of results.

The ex-Spurs scout feels that several members of the Tottenham staff should be looking over their shoulder, although he doesn't feel that Postecoglou is one of them.

It comes after Spurs fell to a third consecutive defeat as they were beaten 2-0 at Stamford Bridge by Chelsea on Thursday (2 May).

And King - speaking exclusively to Tottenham News - believes something does need to be changed in North London.

"I feel slightly sorry for Postecoglou at the moment," King said.

"If anyone is thinking or suggesting that his job might be at risk, then that is ridiculous quite frankly.

"If anything needs to change at Spurs, it is members of the backroom staff. A lot of them have been at the club for a long time.

"Talk of Postecoglou being sacked is premature, but does the coaching staff maybe need shaking up?"

Ange Postecoglou has earned a second season in charge of Tottenham

There is no doubt that Spurs' form is worrying, and supporters would be right to have questions for Postecoglou.

But any suggestion that he should be sacked is far-fetched.

What Tottenham need is some stability, and Postecoglou looks as if he can provide that.

Ange Postecoglou has several problems to fix at Tottenham.

However, there are glaring issues within the team, and the Australian must address those next season.

If he doesn't, Daniel Levy might perhaps start to run out of patience.
