Mikey Moore and Will Lankshear will make their first Tottenham starts against Ferencváros in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday (3 October).

Spurs are on a roll at the moment, flying high heading into their European tie in Hungary.

They have won their last four matches on the bounce, keeping back-to-back clean sheets in their last two matches.

Therefore, Postecoglou will be keen for the North London side to keep that momentum going ahead of their trip to the Amex Stadium to play Brighton on Sunday (6 October).

However, the Australian has still decided to take a gamble, naming a relatively young side as the team to take on Ferencváros was confirmed via Spurs' official X on Thursday (3 October).

Ange Postecoglou hands Tottenham debuts to Mikey Moore and Will Lankshear v Ferencváros

Moore and Lankshear have both been named in the starting lineup against Ferencváros, with the former making his Spurs debut while the latter is making his first start for the club.

While Spurs supporters will be excited to see the talented youngsters in action, it could prove costly, with both players lacking plenty of experience.

Postecoglou has also decided to bench an experienced player in Djean Kulusevski. The Swede shone in the 3-0 win against Manchester United at Old Trafford (29 September).

As per Sofascore, he completed 89 per cent of his passes, with a staggering nine of those key, while he created three big chances in addition to the goal he scored.

He also provided one accurate cross, with 100 per cent of his long balls accurate.

Therefore, while the young players will no doubt be chomping at the bit to get their chance, Postecoglou might need to call on some of his more experienced stars in what promises to be a tricky away tie in Europe.
